Count of Unique Values in Roll-up (pivot table)

Below is an Sales transaction list table. Using Pivot Table or Subtotal, you can find out for example, the number (Count) of transactions in each Store. But you cannot see, for example, the Variety of Product (Count of Unique Values in 'Product') sold by each store. DigDB's Roll-up allows you to calculate this:

1. Click any cell within your list area, Invoke 'DigDB->Roll up...'

   

2. Set summary criteria: Count of Unique Values in Product by Store
   • Use the Calculations area to select 'Count of Unique Values in' and 'Product', use the upper 'Add' button to add to the criteria box
   • Use the Group-by(s) area to select 'Store', then use the lower 'Add' button to add to the criteria box

   

   

   

3. Click 'OK' to get the roll up. Result is shown in a new list on a new sheet

   

   Besides Count of Unique Values, DigDB's roll up also supports Median, MODE, Standard Deviation and a total of 21 statistical functions. This give users far more aggregate power than Pivot table and Subtotal.
